Description

Understanding and knowledge of local and national political institutions and the way they work are essential to journalism. This module introduces students to the structures and development of national and local government, the relationship between them and the social and financial pressures which have shaped, and continue to shape, the way in which public services are provided. Students will study the role of political parties and the role of politicians as sources of news.
